The Shamanic Experience

It is an honour and a privilege to work with Abuelo Marcelino in sharing the knowledge and traditions of the Bri Bri. Marcelino Figueroa López is the auspicious 4th generation AWA (chief) elder of the Bri Bri indigenous community in Talamanca and a custodian of Ancestral Wisdom. Passionate about preserving his cultural heritage, he is active in mountain reforestation, focusing on the preservation of rare and Sacred Tree species. Marcelino has become a master of traditional plant medicine and welcomes newcomers eager to learn.

During your stay we will travel to Abuelo Marcelino's home to experience a very special blessing and traditional cacao ceremony, learn the cacao processing in the way of the Bri Bri, hold ceremony in a traditional moloka and listen to the history of cacao in this region. A truely authentic experience not to be missed!
